Effective date: October 21, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how dentID (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our app on iPhone and iPad.
Your dental history is personal. We collect only what the app needs to work, and we never sell your data.
Account information. Your name, email address and password (stored in a protected form) when you create an account.
Dental records you enter. Events you add to your teeth (such as fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, X-rays, symptoms and notes), photos you attach, appointments and any files you attach to them.
Care routines. The daily care habits you enable, their reminder times, and which ones you complete, used to calculate your progress statistics.
Settings and device data. Your notification preferences, language choice and a push notification token so we can send you reminders.
We do not access your contacts, location or health data from other apps.
Your data is stored on our servers, provided by our hosting provider and served through Cloudflare. Your sign-in session is kept in your device’s secure storage. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app, under agreements that protect your information: our hosting provider (server and database), Cloudflare (network delivery and security), our email delivery provider (verification codes), and Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging (notifications). We may also disclose information if required by law.
dentID does not use third-party analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs. dentID does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and the records linked to it immediately.
You can view and edit your information in the app, and you may request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data-protection laws.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and protected password storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
dentID is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
dentID is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. Always consult a qualified dentist about your oral health.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
